Job Description

Job Description The Account Director, Leisure Sales is a full time position with typical business hours Monday through Friday however from time to time may include nights, weekends and/or holidays as business dictates. The position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Primary Responsibilities To maximize hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by negotiating both Tour Operators and Wholesalers' business with existing and potential agents in accordance with the sales business plan. To identify new source markets in order to grow leisure business during need periods To liaise with the key operators and analyze production figures for competitor hotels and ensuring the hotel is receiving its full market share. Submit monthly sales activity report to Director of Sales with all new business achieved that month and key activities Work closely with Key TMCs to increase production of the property Ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded. Sell hotel guestrooms through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues. Bring in new business through direct inside and outside solicitation efforts which will include but is not limited to feeder city sales trips, trade shows, local sales calls, sales missions, etc. Negotiate guest room rates and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Develop and implements an on-going Targeted Account Development "hit list" in order to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts, and contracts. Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system in order to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner. Research, survey, personally investigate and study market place and territory to effectively capitalize on the hotel's strengths and competitor's weaknesses and capabilities. Participate in daily meetings, sales strategy meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required. Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affect operations. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
