Due to our exceptional growth and success, we are recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.









SUMMARY

Provides quality, safe and effective patient care in the home care setting or ambulatory infusion suite. Functions in accordance with professional standards and the state's Nurse Practice Act and is under the direction/supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.



1 Provides components of infusion care as directed by the Nursing Manager.

2 Provides care in accordance to Company policies, procedures and protocols.

3 Provide all components of care in a professional, goal-oriented manner.

4 Submits all required documentation in a timely manner.

5 Communicates any changes in the patient's condition to supervisor, physicians and other health care provides as appropriate.

6 Documents all components of care in an objective, factual and concise manner according to written guidelines.

7 Takes professional responsibility for self-protection during required work in potentially hazardous situation (e.g. handling cytoxic agents, blood and body fluids).

8 Represents self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

9 Maintains professional licensure, certification, and health requirements as well as demonstrates clinical competence.

10 Participates in yearly educational program.

11 Participates in the activities of the Performance Improvement Program.

12 Each employee is responsible for adhering to those performance programs, policies, procedures, guidelines and internal control standards established to guide the operation of the Company. Each employee must be made aware of and understand proper internal control procedures associated with their specific job function as communicated by his/her manager.

13 Each employee is responsible for reporting concerns that he or she may have with respect to deficiencies in internal control.

14 Performs other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Current valid license in appropriate state(s). Current CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification. Must be able to assume a flexible work schedule.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret nursing and clinical information appropriate to duties and responsibilities assigned. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from referral sources, managers, patients, employees, payors and the general public.



Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and math calculations related to administration of medications



Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
