Built in 1988, Heritage Oaks Hospital has long been

Conveniently located in the northern part of Sacramento,
Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited 125-bed acute
psychiatric facility offering a full range of
individually tailored treatment services to adolescents,
adults and senior adults. Heritage Oaks provides
confidential no-cost assessments as a community service.
The hospital is a Medicare provider, and has contracts
with most commercial health insurance plans, Medi-Cal
and Medicare HMOs. The candidate selected will be
responsible for the following:
The therapist performs social services functions to
include assisting patients in meeting their
bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them, through
therapeutic treatment skills, to achieve their optimal
level of emotional health, including providing basic
consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical
social work services for patients/families receiving
care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term
family therapy, and providing information and referrals
as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or
university, in Social Work or a related mental health
field and LCSW or MFT. Non-licensed applicants will not
be considered. Please do not apply if you do not have a
LCSW or LMFT in good standing.
Experience: Therapist requires a minimum of one year of
experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with
direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis
intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong
clinical assessment skills. Strong CD experience
preferred.
