Minimum requirement....
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

Required skills...
* Strong experience in application design, application development, shell scripting, and web design in a Linux/Unix environment.
* Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows system administration (system setup, patching, maintenance, PAM).
* Needs to exhibit professionalism, be a team player, show excellent research and problem solving skills, be a self-starter with a high quality of work ethics (on time, communicate absences in a timely manner, courtesy to customers and co-workers, etc.).
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work independently.

Duties/responsibilities
Linux/Unix System Administrator with Windows experience. Responsible for designing, testing and maintaining a Red Hat Common Operating Environment; providing programming and scripting support and system administration in a heterogeneous network environment (Linux, Sun, Mac, and Windows) and providing technical and troubleshooting expertise to organizations in the area of patch management, upgrades, security requirements, infrastructure, SAN and general storage technologies.

* DOE Q or DOD Top Secret clearance.
