Job Description

Jackson Lewis LLP is a nationwide law firm dedicated to representing management exclusively in workplace law and related litigation. With 48 offices and almost 700 attorneys, Jackson Lewis is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for the Melville office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Arrange and prepare pleadings and discovery in federal and state court
• Analyze and organize documents and data from materials produced during discovery; coordinate document production; analyze and review privileged documents
• Arbitration and trial preparation and support
• Assist with preparation of federal and state administrative filings
• Conduct basic Lexis and Pacer research
• Update and maintain docket

Skills and Educational Requirements:
• BS/BA required
• Minimum of three years experience as a Litigation Paralegal required, employment law a plus
• Docketing experience a plus
• Proficiency in Lexis and Windows environment including Word, Excel and Outlook. Summation experience a plus.
• Must be a self-starting, multi-tasking team player
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
• Flexibility with overtime as necessary
