GMD (Global Medicines Development) drives late-stage development of our innovative pipeline, transforming exciting science into valued new medicines and ensuring patients around the world can access them. br br Main Duties and Responsibilities br br The role holder provides technical leadership as either an expert lead for a number of processes or through leadership of a regional based group that ensures effective collaboration between physicians. Will develop and build as a specialist expert, within a cross-functional multi-skilled team comprised of experts across multi-disciplinary project teams to design, execute, analyse and interpret potential safety signals, and develop and implement best practices to mitigate risk to patients. br br * As a regional expert supports assessments and research related to liver toxicity br * Provides, as an expert, strategic physician expertise to quantify the benefits, risks, value and uncertainty of clinical trials br * Oversees or provides expert support to AstraZeneca clients on a potentially global basis br * As a specialist leads a cross-functional, multi-skilled team from a number of scientific disciplines which may include project management br * Leads or oversees a diverse range of initiatives to improve quality, integrity of information interpretation, cost or time br * Ensures efficient and effective leadership and management of project information, strategy, quality standards, and integrity of information interpretation br * Provides expert guidance on advanced clinical trials br * Represents AstraZeneca and its Physicians at external events br * Networks with colleagues and experts, providing consultancy in area of liver toxicity and serving as a resource for others by sharing experience within and beyond team function br * Investigates and develop leading-edge approaches and provides support for novel informatics approaches in the evaluation of patient safety bodies br * Keeps own knowledge of best practices and new relevant developments up to date br * Ensures that all work is carried out with regards to AstraZeneca standards and external regulations br
