Airframe Loads EngineerThe candidate will support the definition, analysis, and application of structural design criteria and resulting airframe loads for various aerospace projects\. The candidate will be responsible for flight loads \(steady state maneuvers, abrupt maneuvers, gust response, control surface hinge moments, and aero\-elastic effects\); and miscellaneous loads \(canopy, doors, pressurization, engine mount, external store, tie\-down, and aerial refueling\)\. Responsibilities will also include generating and documenting structural design criteria and creating design loads\. Responsibilities also include collection of the data required to build analysis models, conduct static and dynamic simulations, interpret and report the results\. The candidate will conduct flight loads analysis and tests and produce the associated documentation\. The candidate will participate in aircraft development program activities and will coordinate with other engineering disciplines for analysis inputs, design implementation details, documentation of results and interfacing with customers\.Flutter and Aeroelasticity EngineerThe candidate will conduct flutter/aeroelastic analysis and test coordination for various aerospace projects\. Responsibilities will include building dynamic models, conducting static and dynamic aeroelastic analyses, including Flutter, Gust and Aeroelastic effectiveness assessments\. The candidate will also be responsible for test planning and coordination for wind tunnel Flutter models, and aircraft ground and flight tests\. The candidate will participate in aircraft development program activities and will coordinate with other engineering disciplines for analysis inputs and design implementation details, document results and interface with customers\.Vibroacoustic engineerThe candidate will define and verify dynamic environmental criteria for the aircraft and related equipment\. Responsibilities will include the development of acceleration, vibration, shock and acoustic environments for advanced aircraft, specifying test requirements and analyzing measurements from vehicle and component wind tunnel tests, ground tests and flight tests\. Responsibilities will also include interfacing with the equipment suppliers, insuring that their equipment is properly qualified\. The candidate will participate in aircraft development program activities and will coordinate with other engineering disciplines for analysis inputs, design implementation details, documentation of results and interfacing with customers\.Successful candidates will be self\-starting engineers able to perform duties without appreciable direction, or only under consulted direction toward long\-range goals, capable of mentoring junior engineers, developing estimates & schedules, leading ground based development test efforts, and leading technical teams engaged in above activities\.Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field from an accredited University+ 0\-6 years of direct industry related experience+ U\.S\. citizenship is required+ Ability to attain a U\.S\. Department of Defense \(DoD\) Security Clearance+ Proficiency with MS Office software \(Excel, Work, PowerPoint\)+ Experience in the use of industry standard loads and dynamics analysis software \(NASTRAN, FEMAP, PATRAN, MATLAB, and ZONAIR\)\.Preferred Qualifications:
+ A current in scope DoD Secret, Top Secret or SSBI/SCI clearance+ Experience in the use of industry standard loads and dynamics analysis software \(NASTRAN, FEMAP, PATRAN, MATLAB, and ZONAIR\)\.+ Working experience with aircraft loads requirements \(JSSG\-2006, FAR Part 23 and 25\)+ Work experience in the area of aircraft dynamics loads, vibroacoustic, response analysis, and dynamic environment prediction\.+ Work experience in the area of aircraft dynamics loads, flutter, aeroelasticity, model correlation, and PSD Gust\.+ Experience on aircraft development programs performing response analysis and dynamic environment prediction\.+ Knowledge of Multi\-Disciplinary Optimization tools and techniques is desired\.+ Siemens NX knowledge is desirable+ Current Top Secret and SAP/SAR clearances are preferred\.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
