This position is primarily responsible for the processing mortgage loans, as well as responsible for providing underwriting support for files within approval authority.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
?Must be able to process multiple files within pipeline, all at different stages of the approval process. Take responsibility from start to finish of all files within pipeline.
?Review information obtained from loan officers for accuracy and completeness.
?Perform all phases of processing Conventional, Construction, FHA and VA mortgage loans.
?Order, collect, verify and analyze all documentation required for submitting files to Underwriting for final loan approval.
?Processes, underwrites and/or submits underwriting accurate and complete loan packages in a timely manner with minimal audit exceptions.
?Ability to make rational risk based decisions with regards to underwriting and processing determinations.
?Works closely with Underwriters, Loan Officers, Closers and vendors.
?Effective pipeline management.
?Obtain and clear approval and closing conditions when applicable.
?Responsible for communicating underwriting conditions to both the borrowers as well as the loan officer.
?Maintains thorough knowledge of loan programs and underwriting requirements.
?Must also be able to handle a pipeline of 30 +/- files
?Ability to prioritize daily work to meet deadlines and adjust to last minute changes.
?Must hold general understanding of all the areas of the mortgage industry. Knowledge of and experience with FNMA/FHLMC, FHA
