What you get to do: The position is responsible for cleaning rooms all areas in both front and back of the house to ensure the hotel's high standards of cleanliness are met. Your day-to-day: * Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish, vacuum and service hotel lobby daily in accordance with hotel procedure * Greet any and all guests with a "Good Morning" (or afternoon, evening) * Clean and maintain employee locker rooms, restrooms and cafeteria * Clean and maintain all private offices * Clean and maintain area outside of the hotel used for guests and employees * Clean and maintain all public restrooms * Set up and maintain complimentary wine hour reception on a daily basis * Empty wastebaskets, clean and empty ashtrays * Report any damages, hazards, repairs and strangers in assigned areas * Return any items found in guest rooms, hallways or back of the house to the Lost and Found * Arrive on time for scheduled shift * Quickly respond to guest requests in a timely and friendly manner * Other duties as assigned by supervisor Specific experience we're seeking: * Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Previous housekeeping experience an asset * Customer service and verbal communication skills * Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays and weekends. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
