The Lodge & Cottage Manager is responsible for managing and ensuring operational efficiencies and profitability at The Lodge and Cottage at The Ballantyne Hotel. This position oversees Room Attendants, Front Desk, and Guest Services employees while working at The Lodge and Cottage. The Manager is the on-site point of contact for all individual guests and groups during their stay on property. Oversees the day-to-day management of the rooms operation at The Lodge and Cottage. Coordinates all engineering work on property with the Engineering Lead. Reports all interior and exterior building deficiencies to the Engineering Department. Coordinates services with outside contractors as needed. Coordinates all on-site food and beverage with F&B. Coordinates staffing needs of the front desk and guest services with the Director of Front Office. Provides a personal and warm greeting and farewell to each guest and/or group on property. Acts as pre- and post-arrival personal contact with all Cottage guests. Responds promptly to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Acts as the main point of contact with contract service providers. Creates and maintains guidelines for the use of space as an outside catering venue. Assists in the hiring and training of Room Attendants. Communicates performance standards, assigns and monitors work, and disciplines employees as needed. Develops work schedules according to standards and forecasted occupancy. Inspects the level of cleanliness of guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms, and public areas. Orders and receives linen and cleaning supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels. Conducts monthly linen and supply inventory. Occasionally assists Room Attendants with the cleaning of rooms and public areas. Occasionally checks-in guests and assists with luggage.
