Logistics Operations Manager

Logistics Operations Manager TS/SCI required A-T Solutions is seeking an experienced international logistics professional to plan, establish, and develop an office that will provide mission-critical support to national-level clients with rapidly evolving requirements.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be charged with creating a highly efficient, small-scale logistics section and will be responsible for leading and managing this section's operations from inception through maturation. The concept and resources for creating this section are in place, waiting for the right person to bring them to life. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the start-up of this section; for developing successful relationships with international logistics providers and freight forwarders; and for consistently negotiating favorable terms for all shipments - air, sea, ground, and rail. The Operations Manager will work as a part of a close-knit team and will communicate effectively and closely with clients and company management. Required qualifications:

-10 years of hands-on experience in international logistics operations
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of direct involvement in freight forwarding and 3PL
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to function independently
- BS degree in logistics or business
- Knowledge of customs, and import / export laws and regulations
- Proven communication and customer relations skills
- Possess strong negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- TS/SCI clearance (active)
- US Citizen Preferred qualifications:- Start-up, green field, or brown field experience
- Expat assignment
- Foreign language ability
