Job Description
Title: Long Term Disability Director - Claim Location: United States-California-Rancho Cordova Other Locations: As a global leader in insurance, asset management and financial service products, we offer professionals every possibility for growth. As part of the office's leadership team, this role has responsibility for the leadership and development of the Sacramento, CA Long Term Disability Claims Operation. The LTD Director will ensure consistency and best practices across teams, driving accountability and customer service satisfaction. Lastly, in addition to directly managing the LTD management team, this individual will be responsible for leading and managing the office's Quarterly Business Review process. The LTD Director will report into the Assistant, VP Claim and have direct accountability for LTD claim Team Leaders and Claim Analysts. Responsibilities * Driving a high performance culture, organizational values, vision, strategies that support business metrics and staffing models. * Making sound and timely decisions for organization, considering risks, benefits, alternatives, stakeholder perspectives, organizational impacts and alignment to overall goals. * Performance management, developing talent, building bench strength, and succession planning. * Sound financial and risk management of active LTD claim block with associated disabled lives reserves. * Exceptional service delivery measured by responsiveness, timeliness, accuracy, customer satisfaction, and achievement of performance guarantees. * Compliance with contract, administrative best practices, state and federal regulatory requirements. * Sales growth and retention, including active involvement in the acquisition and implementation of new employer accounts and stewardship of active accounts.
