JOB DESCRIPTIONESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
I. Works in support of Outside Sales Team to attain sales and customer service objectives in order to maintain and grow existing business while using up-sell opportunities as appropriate. Seek out and recognize opportunities for additional sales through new products and /or special section. Have knowledge in all SAR Media advertising products which include but are not limited to print, digital, direct mail, commercial print and special publications to be sold to advertising customers primarily over the telephone or in support of outside sales team. Support Outside Sales team administratively so that Outside Sales can maximize their time in field while still allowing time to maintain and grow their existing account base. Coordinate with the Sales professionals to coordinate quotes for clients. Process credits, bills and payments for the Advertising Department. Provide backup for the front desk duties. 60%
II. Assists credit department in order to keep account billing status correct. Solves any problems which may arise involving team client list. Cooperates with all department personnel. Covers for absent salesperson(s) and front desk. 30%
III. Participates in sales training programs and attends staff meetings. Increases proficiency by working on speculative layouts; handling all types of ads. Makes advertisers aware of special sections, promotions and new products. Other duties as assigned. 10%
