JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Requirements:
Visio process flow experience is required.
o3 or more years of IT Business Analyst experience or equivalent work experience
oBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
oExperience in applying research methodology to business solutions.
oKnowledge of systems development concepts and methods
oExperience with business requirements and business process
oMS Suite products including Word, Excel, VISIO and PowerPoint
oExperience managing multiple priorities
oAbility to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
oAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
oAbility to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
oHigh critical thinking skills and ability to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
oUML or other business and system modelling techniques
oHealth care industry related experience is preferred

The primary role of the Business Analyst is to represent the interests of the business throughout the solution design and development process. The secondary role is to function as an interpreter for business and technical staff, translating concepts and terminology and generally bridging gaps in understanding. Analyzes and documents business and user needs and ensures technical requirements and project plans are in alignment. Defines business process scope and objectives as well as detailed business requirements and works with IT partners to translate into technical systems requirements.
oDocuments business requirements that capture business needs and process scenarios. Researches, documents and clarifies process and workflow questions
oWorks with IT to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Accountable for ensuring business requirements are reviewed, addressed and accurate in deliverables before release. Accountable for understanding and communicating accurate business requirements to IT partners and ensuring technical specifications accurately reflect business needs
oFacilitates communication between the IT organization and assigned business area(s)
oActively participates in project meetings. Leads requirements gathering sessions
oProvides support and analysis of data collection, mapping, aggregation and balancing functions
oAnalyzes profiling results, reference data sets and data quality scorecards
oAssists in resolving data exceptions.
oPerforms requirements analysis, documentation, testing, ad-hoc reporting, user support
oProduces detailed business process flows, functional requirements specifications and data models and communicates these requirements to the design and build teams
oConducts cost/benefit assessments of the functionality requested by end-users.
oPrioritizes and balances competing priorities
oPlans and authors the user documentation set
oAssists in the identification and definition of business terms and entities to be covered in the business glossary
oBuilds internal partnerships to improve communication, coordination, collaboration and effective working relationships
oProvides guidance to assigned client areas to facilitate understanding of use and implications of technology solutions, formulates recommendations for systems users to enable continuous improvement
oWrites or assists with writing test conditions, scripts, and/or scenarios. Participates in testing
oIdentifies risks, evaluates controls and prepares findings and recommendations.
oParticipates in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of technology solutions, policies, practices and processes and establishing metrics for released applications.
