Swedish Medical Center is looking for an outstanding MANAGER - AMBULATORY INFORMATICS to join our team! This person manages a team of Informatics Applications Analysts and/or Informatics Applications Operations Analysts, and/or Enterprise Applications Analysts to ensure the optimum design and build of clinical software for patient safety, patient experience, resource efficiency, and revenue capture.

The Manager - Ambulatory Informatics manages the build, testing, and phase II upgrade processes; the analysis of vendor release notes and testing of upgrades; and the analysts who perform upgrades and other changes in the software configuration. This person will use excellent customer service skills to establish effective relationships with customers internal to Informatics and to external customers in the organization. The Manager - Ambulatory Informatics also manages the analysis, design, optimization, and adherence to change control policies and procedures.

Job duties include:
* Uses excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to optimize the recruitment and retention of superior analysts. * Mentors and supervises analysts in a way that results in high job satisfaction, high productivity and appropriate career development. * Performs all Swedish HR related management duties such as time keeping and performance evaluations. * Manages budgets, develops spreadsheets, monitors and analyzes financial information, and implements operational changes to meet budget targets.* Drafts annual and interval work plans and obtains scope approval; manages the work plans on time and within budget with project milestones, activities, and deliverables; identifies and manages mitigating risks. * Assures coordination and integration with other Informatics managers and with managers in Applications and in Information Services.* Additionally, oversees the build by Affiliate (a.k.a. 'EHR partner') groups. Assures that Affiliate analysts follow SMC change control policies and procedures. Works with the Affiliate Account Manager(s) to develop processes for Affiliate groups. * Analyzes and provides input to Informatics management team on long-term strategies for informatics, including business intelligence. ...
