Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Manager - Customer Logistics in Irvine, California to support GP Professional. This person is responsible for developing and managing supply chain interfaces between distributors' supply chain operations and GP Professional businesses. The Customer Logistics Manager is responsible for implementing supply chain solutions that achieve customer satisfaction while improving supply chain efficiencies, costs and service. Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships within customer functional areas to create joint supply chain strategies aimed at improving profitability and growth. Drive strategic partnerships to create a competitive advantage for GP. Develop and execute supply chain solutions for customers through direct interaction with customers supply chain operations in GP s western sales regions. Track and monitor supply chain metrics and processes to ensure that both GP and our customer's needs are met. Conduct root cause analysis on customer behaviors that drive inefficiency or unnecessary cost into the supply chain. Reduce or eliminate non value added costs in the supply chain. Implement corrective actions with Sales, Customer Service and external Customers to improve supply chain efficiencies and reduce cost to serve. Drive excellent on time delivery service to customers by analyzing data and reports on service, supply chain metrics and any other supply chain information that lends to the development of service improvement programs. Administer terms and conditions/business policies to ensure customer compliance. Remove barriers prohibiting improvement or customer compliance. Serve as point of contact for Sales, Customer Service and external Customers for Supply Chain or Logistics issues and opportunities. Lead cross functional business teams to facilitate improved business practices and develop policies to achieve efficiencies at best possible cost. Provide voice of the customer and industry best practices back into the internal organization for potential improvements in the supply chain. Education: Bachelor s degree or higher required Basic Qualifications: Minimum of five years of supply chain / logistics experience Willing and able to travel at least 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications: MBA or Bachelor s degree or higher in Logistics or Supply Chain Experience working with customers on supply chain improvements Experience using SAP order management software Previous management or leadership experience within supply chain/logistics Knowledge Skills Abilities: Understanding of supply chain operations Proven track record of customer supply chain improvements Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access experience Project management skills Quick problem analysis and resolution techniques Strong organizational, communication and presentation techniques Economic and critical thinking skills Customer-focused self-starter Ability to analyze information and situations to identify improvement opportunities We are an equal opportunity employer.
