**Job Description:** The principle purpose of the Market Sales Manager (MSM) is to drive achievement of sales, margin, and profit goals for their market area by providing indirect management over a team of Project Specialists Exterior (PSE) and Project Specialists Interior (PSI) and helping them navigate the steps in the sales pipeline. To accomplish this, the Market Sales Manager must have extensive knowledge of sales management and leadership techniques and how they apply in an omni-channel sales environment. The Market Sales Manager (MSM) will have primary responsibility to ensure Best in Class customer experiences with every project associated with a PSE or PSI. As the outside sales leader and subject matter expert on the Lowe s selling model and market opportunities, the MSM will provide leadership to their sales team to help them maximize market share in all product categories approved for the PSE and PSI programs. In addition, the MSM will also look for opportunities and take steps to drive sales in the following areas: Installed Sales, SOS, In-Store Pro Services, EPP and Credit. As the market-level sales leader, the MSM will be accountable for driving results that support overall sales in the market. The MSM will build and help develop a professional sales organization staffed with the best talent available in the market in order to maximize sales, margin, close rates, and average ticket. The MSM will achieve this by identifying capability gaps and providing training and coaching/mentoring. In partnership with Store Management, the MSM will also monitor performance and identify/select talent. In addition, the Market Sales Manager (MSM) will work closely with their Regional Sales Director to ensure achievement of assigned business goals. This position will also work with cross-functional organizational business units primarily collaborating with Store Management, Market Directors, Area HR, and Field Service Managers. Qualifications: - Bachelor s degree or 3+ years of outside sales management experience - 1+ years demonstrated success in training, developing, and providing leadership (direct or indirect) to a field-based sales team - Experience understanding and applying common sales metrics and reports - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: - 5+years of outside sales management experience, leading B to B (Business to Business) and/or B to C (Business to Customer) sales teams - Experience working with and selling a broad range of interior/exterior product categories.
