The Electric Operations organization is responsible for the engineering, planning and execution of internally planned and externally generated work, and the ongoing operations and delivery of electricity to our customers. Position Summary
M&C Compliance Specialist, Senior - Flexible Location - North Bay

The M&C Compliance Specialist, Senior examines and reviews the findings and data from the field inspectors regarding safety/maintenance compliance. The Compliance Specialist identifies trends in the findings and prepares reports and recommendations. The incumbent also makes final determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed.
Qualifications
Required

Bachelors or equivalent or completion of technical trade school
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field performing maintenance, construction and or restoration at the journey level
Familiarity with industry standards
Proficient in SAP Work Management
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Exchange, Excel, Word)
Based on field experience, understanding of construction standards vs. GO 165 requirements (safety, reliability, asset life)
Knowledge and understanding of the EDPM Manual and supporting job aids for GO 165 patrol and inspect
Ability to review pictures of field scenarios and recognize if there is a regulatory or compelling condition that needs to be addressed within Compliance Program timeframe
Strong oral and written communication skills with various levels of internal contacts

Experience in the Compliance Organization
Ability to establish strong relationships with M&C, Estimating, and Resource Management
Responsibilities
Review, Electric Correction (EC) Forms in SAP, attached pictures, maps, and other information from Field Employees (Compliance Inspectors, T-Men, Crews, others) to analyze the current field condition and evaluate the inspector's conclusions.

Return incomplete records to the appropriate field employee or Supervisor. Identify trends, reoccurring problems & issues. Prepare reports and recommendations. Review forecasted work to determine gaps or peak workload - Present findings and recommendations to management.

Ensure all records and findings are maintained for possible audits.
Ensure EC Notifications are reviewed within 5 working days of creation/update in the field
Make final determination regarding what maintenance work needs to be completed to be compliant based on the current field condition and other variables such as public exposure, geographic location, special permitting requirements, etc. Always apply the rules regarding maintenance priority and duration as outlined in the Electric Distribution Preventative Maintenance (EDPM) Manual.

Perform field visits as applicable based on the EC field condition and/or any issues with the information provided from the field. Travel 15% of the time.

Work closely with the Public Safety & Regulatory Supervisor and Analyst; provide feedback on Inspectors, ensure timely notification of short duration tags, etc.

Work closely with Schedulers, M&C Coordinators, and Resource Managers in regards to short duration EC notifications
