MGR, CLINICAL NUTRITION

Manages, plans, and provides coordination, supervision, and training and staff development for clinical staff. Ensures diet and nutrition education for food service staff. Hires, schedules and evaluates nutrition staff; develops standards and monitors clinical dietetic performance. Coordinates the provision of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition care to all patients utilizing technical skills in an acute care, skilled nursing, andor outpatient setting. Skills include clinical assessment, screening for nutritional risk, developing, implementing, and monitoring a nutrition care plan, education, and follow-up. Provides service to patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Ensures compliance to JCAHO Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Demonstrates age-specific care as established for area and job title. Responsible for the financial performance of the clinical nutrition cost center on both campuses. Basic QualificationsCertification (Required): Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration, Member of at least one Professional Organization such as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. Minimum Qualifications (Required): Three years experience in an acute-care, sub-acute, or skilled-nursing setting. One year of leadership experience. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills. Knowledgeexperience in compliance of JCAHO Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
