Our nearly 90,000 employees partner with customers in virtually every industry-from consumer electronics, energy and healthcare, to automotive, aerospace and communication networks-enabling smarter, faster, better technologies to connect products to possibilities.Responsibilities: Working under direction of the Director of Quality, the Supplier Quality Manager is responsible to establish and improve the comprehensive supplier quality program, which includes supplier QMS qualification & improvement, supplier product quality, supplier audit, root cause analysis and 8D effectiveness, supplier quality scorecard and continuous improvements. Leading a supplier quality engineering team globallyRequirement:DUTIES:

DUTIES:

1. Participates in first article assessment on supplied components. Coordinate qualification requirements and evaluation for supplied parts. Ensure components/materials meet specifications and prints. 2. Conducts supplier on site audits to ensure supplier QMS meets TE requirements and ensure capable process and resources to meet TE expectations.

2. Coordinates the resolution of any special quality, test or certification requirements in cooperation with Product Engineering assuring overall agreement between TE and customer drawings and specifications.

3. Specifies and/or provides the use of gages, measuring devices and testing equipment used to determine acceptability of productive material.

4. Coordinates the disposition of non-conforming material and notification of vendor of both rejection and requirement for corrective action. Reviews monthly summaries of in-coming, in process, and final inspection results that relate to supplier quality. Participate in disposition of nonconforming materials and follow up applicable cost charge back to suppliers 5. Communicates and initiate corrective and preventive action request to suppliers, and ensure timely response and action to ensure effectiveness of 8D that tackles root cause and eliminates reoccurrence. 6. Develops visual standards, sampling plan, and means of acceptance criteria, and communicate with suppliers to ensure clear understanding of TE expectations. 7. Provides data and input on supplier quality scorecard, document supplier performance evaluation review, and conduct regular review with strategic and key suppliers.

8. Works with and develops supplier QMS and provide guidance on advanced quality and lean tools to continuously improve process capability and enhance the robustness of QMS

9. Summarizes, analyzes, and reviews data generated internally and from suppliers to develop meaningful reports to internal and external state holders. Requires a B.S. Degree plus ten years experience in quality engineering.Possesses quality background in statistical control, ISO9001/AS9100/TS16949 seasoned auditor, and root causes analysis skillsFamiliars with manufacturing processes, design and engineering requirements, and supplier quality managementLean and Six Sigma background is highly preferredHighly motivated leader to drive continuous improvement by leading through example and working with and developing the teamTeam player to work with purchasing, design and engineering, product management, and manufacturing functionsTravel up to 50% including domestic and international that may stay over weekends
