Under the direction of the Manager of Health Information Management, the Release of Information Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate response to all requests for copies of medical record documentation.


Supervises all requests for information coming into a particular hospital within Northeast Hospital Corporation.

Is privy to confidential and sensitive information and upholds the strictest of confidentiality policies every day.

Coordinates release of information with other sites as applicable.

Understands healthcare law as it pertains to Health Care Proxy, Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, Search Warrants, Wills, Guardianships and Adoption.

Understands and uses department computers in an appropriate and efficient manner

Adheres to Department, Hospital and Human Resources Policies.

Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:


High school graduate or equivalent

Previous medical record experience preferred

Computer skills; Meditech experience desirable Part time Day shift High school diploma or equivalent is required Customer Service skills are required Experience is preferred
