JOB DESCRIPTIONAdecco is currently assisting a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices in filling an MRO Material Component Specialist position that will support divisions in Tulsa, OK, Wichita, KS, Miami FL, and Los Angeles, CA. This position can be based in any of these locations. We are looking for a success-oriented individual with demonstrated ability to analyze usage, WIP, and Contract data, identify USM (Used Serviceable Material)/As Removed purchasing/sales and reciprocal repair opportunities, and create/leverage relationships with Aircraft Teardown specialists, Airline sales groups, Parts Brokers and other MRO's to primarily reduce material cost across the division. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify USM / As Removed opportunities / deals on parts or platforms for each AMETEK MRO, by analyzing incoming repairs, WIP, stock, contracts, sourcing units, using expert network, other MRO's, brokers, teardown specialists, etc.
Identify purchasing and sales opportunities of excess and obsolete stock, by analyzing stock profiles and inventory lists using strong relationship networks.
Analyzes business data including Forecast, WIP, Historical Repair/OH Work Orders, Usage trends, Purchasing and Sales trends, at the component and LRU level.
Develop best practices, policies and Work Instructions to facilitate and drive the MRO Material Cost Reduction program using USM and As Removed components to improve margins, reduce working capital and improve overall customer Turn Around Times
Identify and execute reciprocal repair and OH services with Broker to increase input in MRO's.
Identify Rotable opportunities to improve TAT, profit, etc by analyzing incoming repairs, WIP, current upper level LRU stock to source units using expert network, other MRO's brokers, teardown specialists, etc
Will lead development of new supplier relationships to sustain and continuously leverage competitive advantage.
Must have a strong blend of business, technical, project & positive supplier and network relationship building experience.
Requires exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and technical analytical skills, as well as demonstrated strong use of analytical tools including MS Excel.
Proven experience in an Aerospace Repair and Overhaul Procurement position focused on lowering costs/ decreasing material cost as a % through identification and partnering with USM and As Removed service providers
Related work experience shall be a minimum of 5 years with at least 3 to 5 years in a tactical material purchasing role in Aerospace MROs.
Requires experience in purchasing of Used Serviceable Material / As Removed & knowledge of FAA certification.
Prefer knowledge and use of Lean / Six Sigma tools
Demonstrated self-starting and innovative thinking.
Must have a developed network of Aerospace Spares business relationships.
