Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Production Operations Entry. The Operations Entry person will operate the Palletizer unit and conveyors. The South Gate, CA location is part of the Roofing Systems Group that serves the entire Pacific Region. We manufacture commercial/industrial modified Bitumen roofing systems. Our products are APP (Atatic Polypropylene), SBS (Styrene Butadiene Styrene), BUR (Built Up Roofing), and Self Adhered modified roofing membranes. We stock Fesco and ISO insulation board and BUR membranes made at other Johns Manville production facilities.

Responsibilities: Operate the Palletizer unit and conveyors. Knowledgeable on Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Apply proper label to pallets and follow standard labeling procedures. Know how to work with different materials. Identify the different products. Identify the different Tapes for all the products. Know the warehouse location for product storage. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT SUMMARY The Operator Entry Person performs several duties, including, but not limited to, following written and verbal instructions and making decisions using good judgment based on prevailing conditions. The job requires the employee to be forklift trained and certified with the ability to lift 55 lbs. and work rapidly in a production environment. The employee must be able to read, write, and possess good communication skills. The job requires that the employee must be able to work safely and follow all safety rules. Employee must be dependable and able to follow instructions and directions.High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.Also, must be able to work rotating shifts.
