JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY MACHINE OPERATOR IN MIX FILL ROOM
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION LEAD/SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: BEF FOODS, INC. LIMA PLANT
SUMMARY: THE MACHINE OPERATOR COORDINATES THE FLOW OF RAW INGREDIENTS THROUGH THE BLENDING PROCESS FOR PACKAGING OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. THE PROCESSING EMPLOYEE CONFIRMS ADHERENCE TO THE RECIPES AND DOCUMENTS THIS PROCESS BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
ESTABLISH PROGRAMMING (OF WHAT) FOR DAILY PRODUCTION.
USE TRANSFERS (OF WHAT) TO OPERATE MIXERS, BATCH TANKS AND LIKWIFIER.
SETUP AND CONNECT THE EQUIPMENT SURROUNDING THE PLATFORM.
VERIFY PROPER CONNECTIONS TO DELIVER RAW MATERIAL TO DESIGNATED PIECES OF EQUIPMENT.
VERIFY ALL PIECES OF EQUIPMENT ARE SANITARY, IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION AND ARE SET TO RUN EFFECTIVELY.
REPORT ANY ISSUES WITH EQUIPMENT TO LINE LEADER IN A TIMELY MANNER.
VERIFY MANUFACTURING COMPUTER PROGRAM DISPLAYS CORRECT INGREDIENTS ARE BEING ADDED TO MIX IN THE PROPER QUANTITIES.
CONFIRM SETUP OF ANCILLARY SETTINGS FOR OPERATION, I.E. HOT WATER OPERATIONAL AND MIXER SPEEDS ARE CORRECT.
THROUGHOUT THE SHIFT, CHANGE RICER PLATE HOURLY OR MORE FREQUENTLY AS NEEDED.
WHEN CHANGING PRODUCTS HAVE CAPABILITY OF WASHING THE EQUIPMENT THEN RE-SANITIZING AND STARTING A NEW PROGRAM.
ENSURE EQUIPMENT IS CLEANED THOROUGHLY AND SANITIZED DURING CHANGEOVER OF PRODUCT.
START NEW PRODUCTION PROGRAM IN MANUFACTURING COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR PRODUCT BEING PRODUCED.
MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS IN THE PRODUCTION AREA THROUGH WASHING DOWN THE FLOOR AND PLATFORM
ABILITY TO READ AND COMPREHEND SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS, SHORT CORRESPONDENCE, AND MEMOS.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
* Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
