Job Description Summary

Under direct supervision, performs basic office services which may include, but are not limited to performing mail room and copy/printing duties including receipt and distribution, photocopying, basic publication and document assembly, ordering supplies, shipping and receiving, and other related mail, copying, printing, clerical or support duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES -

* May be responsible for processing, handling, sorting, receiving, shipping, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail. Collects outgoing mail, does the weighing and stamping, and delivers (if necessary) outgoing mail to handling agents and postal services. Handles incoming insured, registered, express and bulk mailings. May also handle shipping and receiving of materials and goods.

* May perform copying, printing, document production, document and brochure assembly, and bulk mailings. Operates machinery in a safe, efficient and accurate manner which may include, but is not limited to, photocopying machine, fax machine, printers, binding and postage machines and may serve as key operator for this equipment.

* Maintains relationships with all office equipment vendors and may manage all service requests and agreements for photocopying, postage, binding, fax, and related equipment.

* May handle stockroom duties including ordering, maintaining and issuing supplies in accordance with prescribed procedures and maintaining record of inventory and incoming packages. May maintain neat and orderly supply/stockroom. May be responsible for ordering business cards, stationery and announcement cards.

* May perform messenger-type duties which may include, but are not limited to, traveling from floor to floor and location to location.

* May assist with and support the administrative and office personnel with recordkeeping and files, moving office furniture and equipment, transmission and storage of confidential records, keeping pantries supplied and stocked, and related tasks.



REQUIREMENTS -

* High School or equivalency diploma required.

* Prior office services, mail room, or copy clerk experience preferred.

* Good organizational and communication skills (oral and written) required.



PHYSICAL CONDITIONS -

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time; regularly use hands to operate office machinery including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, fax, and photocopy machines; regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.
