Title: 233925 : Mainframe Developer Senior
Duration: 29+ Months
Developer for the UDB application as part of the FSAO Release for Global UDB project within FCSD. Key responsibilities include:. Translate logical design into physical program specifications . Develop and integrate IT solutions (e.g. application module code) by using appropriate development methodologies and standards, applying standard architectures/patterns, taking into account critical performance characteristics, security measures and customer requirements, and working within the physical application framework (e.g. libraries, reuse modules, development environments). . Develop and execute unit test and integration plans and scripts to validate that application modules meet technical specifications . Participate in technical inspections at appropriate stages of development . Create production support documentation . Work with Operations Analysts, System Designer/Analysts and other developers to prepare and stage production builds, and verify production releases meet technical and business expectations . Perform data migration/conversion activities . Handle medium to highly complex system modules based on business logic, integration points and platforms . Interface primarily with the IT project team under direction of SDA.
4+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT with at least 3 years experience in mainstream development environments . Understanding of current system environments, their main features, limitations and performance characteristics o Mainframe COBOL o CA7 o Endevor o JCL o Relational database experience on the mainframe - Teradata experience preferred (DB2 accepted) o Utilities o Performance tuning o BTEQ o Strong SQL skills.
Knowledge of and experience with the Ford SDM process . Knowledge of and experience with the Ford SDM process . Knowledge of and experience with Agile This is a global project with key resources in multiple regions. Must be willing to work morning hours to support overlap in time zones. Needs to be able to operate with minimal supervision and escalate issues, when appropriate.
