To apply, go to: www.prattindustries.com Select \\"Careers\\" in the top right corner Select Wisconsin on the map Scroll down, apply Position # 28071600005909, Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift Position Title:Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift Beloit Description:POSITION TITLE: Maintenance MechanicREPORTS TO:Maintenance ManagerSUMMARYEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic equipment, conveyor systems, and production machinery; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms a variety of service work in one or more specialized building systems such as mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulics, carpentry, or machine servicing, ect.Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work.Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operated a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.Requisitions new supplies and equipment.Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.Perform other duties as required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCECompletion of two year technical degree or state Journeyman s license or apprenticeship program plus two years experience as a Maintenance Technician.Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., ectMust be able to work varying shifts, weekend and holidays as needed.May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.Must possess a valid driver s license.Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.Candidates must be able to pass criminal background screen, pre-employment drug screen and physical. Must also be able to pass written mechanical aptitude test.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, manuals, regulations, and codes. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and outside officials to the company.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.TECHNICAL SKILLSProduct and machinery specificationsComputer data entryQuality standards --- (e.g. ISO 9001/2000 and EMS 14001)PHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
