The Process Maintenance Mechanic performs general maintenance and repairs on all facets of small molecule drug development and processing equipment. The Mechanic is responsible for completing his or her work assignments as well as assisting the Chief and peer technicians and mechanics as required and overseeing contractor performance of repair and maintenance activities. The Process Maintenance Mechanic is classified as essential personnel and, as such, is required to work with minimal amount of absences and during all site closures as required except in the event of a major disaster when access to the facilities is prohibited by governmental emergency personnel.
This position performs general maintenance on all facets of small molecule drug development and processing equipment.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Performs all work using proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.
Maintains service documentation via Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communicates with customers, management, colleagues, Planners/Schedulers and Operations Managers regarding issues, project completion timelines and workload priorities.
Performs equipment repairs. Maintains tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition. Acts as a resource for all partners in equipment and service maintenance.
Willingness to work in a multi-skilled team environment.
Ensures all work orders are completed on and closed with all appropriate documentation within the time constraints of the request.
Responsible for overseeing the activities of JLL sub-contractors working within assigned areas.
Ensures quality requirements for maintenance service(s) are met for equipment with a Level 1 classification. Work performed must be in compliance with all Client procedures and practices and is subject to inspection by Client operations or quality assurance staff.
May be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.
May be required to travel to alternate sites.
Works on-call, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Works non-standard shifts as require by client or business needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
HS diploma or GED equivalent
5 years of relevant work experience
Ability to lift 50lbs frequently
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; computer skills, including a working knowledge of CMMS, Word and Excel
Proven record of superior internal/external customer service
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and the ability to master new skill sets quickly
Commitment to promote and support a collegial and supportive work environment for all staff
Valid state driver s license and good driving record Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC s Experience in aseptic or GMP regulated manufacturing environment
