JOB DESCRIPTION

Superior Group in Lancaster, NY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. This is a DIRECT HIRE role within a New Flagship location.

Will support and apply our Quality Policy, as applicable, to all areas of influence. Specifically, will seek to understand, define and exceed the reasonable requirements and expectations of external and internal customers through a process of continuous improvement that is appropriate and applicable to all aspects of our business. Areas of influence include overall quality of plant processes and products and meeting of established goals.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for day to day performance of tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Responsible for operation of any equipment as directed.
Responsible for adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for making efficient use of available resources.
Responsible for identification of continuous improvement opportunities and bringing any opportunities to attention of Supervisor.
Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment and building in company production area as directed.
Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Maintain effective relationships with other employees, other departments and customers/vendors as appropriate.
Effective use of own time and resources.
Effective, timely completion of company tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Notify Supervisor of any unsafe conditions or equipment, including equipment needing maintenance.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment in shop- specifically automated paint line.
Lead maintenance projects/ deal with breakdowns in timely matter.
Troubleshoot repairs, install parts with a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical machines; leveling and calibration.
Will be required to work on facility related issues.
Troubleshoot PLC controllers, servo drives, operate interface devices, motors.
Dismantle and assemble equipment, tools, and machines for repair.
Conduct and perform planned preventive and predictive maintenance; inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect/ investigate malfunctions.
Participate in training and meetings as directed by Supervisor.
Provide effective feedback and follow up to any production related ISO procedures.
Perform other duties as required.

Pay: $17+DOE, 1st shift. Start time 7am. M-F and OT as needed.
Required Skills / Qualifications:

Must have at least a High School Diploma
Must have at least 5 years recent Maintenance experience
Must have at least 2 years of recent PLC & Electrical troubleshooting
Must have 2 years experience on operation and maintenance of industrial equipment.
Must have 2 years experience knowledge of compressed air, hydraulics, forklifts, plumbing and other general purpose equipment.




Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Ability to use good judgment
Operate Lathes and Grinders, Hand Tools, and Pneumatic tools.
Detailed Oriented
Ability to effectively prioritize
Experience with automated paint equipment (robots & reciprocators) preferred
College degree preferred
Must be a team player willing to help out where business dictates
