Job Description
OVERVIEW:

The Maintenance Mechanic performs general and preventative property maintenance, light construction, building repairs (drywall, minor electrical, tile replacement, plumbing, etc.) has a working knowledge of (and ability to manage) mechanical systems, construction practices. This position works closely under the supervision of the Operations Manager, assessing and reporting conditions on property that require attention. This position will focus on safety, increasing the property value, and assist in implementing an outstanding customer experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

OPERATIONS

* Operate and maintain the properties mechanical systems in a manner, which protects, maintains and improves the value of the owner s asset.

* Assist the Operations Manager implement and monitor hazard control, team safety practices, and ensure compliance with local codes and regulation to ensure the passing of the compliance portion of the operations audit.

* Operate the energy management systems to maximize energy efficiency.

* Provide preventive, ongoing, and anticipated maintenance at the entire property.

* Assist the Operations Manager with developing energy improvement plans for the property.

INVENTORY

* Maintain an equipment inventory control for the property.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

* High School diploma or equivalent, preferred

* Technical or Vocational school training, preferred

* One to three (1-3) years experience in a related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks independently.

* Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

* Valid Driver's license required.

* Heavy lifting

* Standing

* Ability to be on call and come in during nontraditional hours.
