JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Contributes to the effective operation of the Maintenance Department by implementation, expansion, and upkeep of the Predictive Maintenance Program (PDM). Work in conjunction with RCM Manager to coordinate repairs on equipment as needed for the reduction of unplanned downtime.
Must have the ability to comprehend and take responsibility for providing an effective and timely plan for repairs of complex troubleshooting issues involving , electrical, mechanical or other specialized areas.
1 Implement, maintains, monitors, and updates the Maintenance Faciliworks to assure it is accurate and functional.
2 Works closely with Craftsmen and Tech's to assign Work Orders for work to be completed. Works with Production RCM Manager to schedule time needed for machine repairs prior to breakdowns to reduce unscheduled downtime.
3 Reporting- Must be able to develop and present reports concerning the progression of the PDM Program.
4 Maintains adequate records of work performed on equipment and corrective action taken.
5 Initiates Purchase Orders for repair parts or spare parts as needed, as well as initiating orders for parts to upgrade existing equipment.
6 Conducts training for other Maintenance Department employees. Preparation work may involve attending seminars or training courses off company premises. Subjects may be any maintenance related or technical subjects.
7 Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMP's)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5's and other company standards
8 Must be supportive of GPI's Mission, Vision, and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
9 Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5's, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.
10 Performs all other duties as assigned.
