We are seeking a Project Superintendent to lead the efforts for Wauna Mill projects related to construction, equipment reliability and equipment availability and will be responsible for daily supervision of the Mill Construction Crew.

Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership for Wauna Mill projects in a way that creates maximum value through the application of Market-Based Management (MBM) and Guiding Principles.
• Provide construction management expertise for assigned Wauna Mill contracted projects ensuring safe, timely and cost effective execution of each project.
• Directly supervise mill projects that are resourced with internal mill labor, ensuring safe, reliable, timely, cost effective execution of each project.
• Participate in final project walk throughs, pre start-up safety reviews and project commissioning ensuring that the project manager receives all project documentation and as built information.
• Documenting all field changes making sure the project manager has approved the costs for all changes that have the potential to increase the project expense.
• Work with the maintenance department to ensure new installations of rotating equipment is put in precision state prior to commissioning.
• Manage the project/construction team in a way that supports the MBM Framework and Guiding Principles.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Pulp and Paper, or Chemical Engineering preferred.

Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years experience in project and construction crew management or industrial plant maintenance crew management required

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:
• Pulp and paper industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance Technologies, Tribology (Lubrication), Design for Reliability (Constructing equipment taking into account life cycle costs and maintainability),
• Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies.
• Understanding of application and use of computerized maintenance management system.
• Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to drive the implementation of solutions through the appropriate work processes.
