ROLE SUMMARY:

The role is responsible for providing instrumentation, electrical, piping, and mechanical support for all equipment at our Corpus Christi facility. This role will work independently and with others to perform tasks as required for safe operations and to meet regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*

MAINTENANCE PROJECTS. Involved in a variety of tasks including troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing and repairing equipment to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effective support for refinery and terminal operations in the assigned area including planning, estimating, scheduling and cost controlling. Perform routine testing, inspection and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assigned plant equipment/systems, including but not limited to pumps, electric motors, electrical equipment, electronic and/or pneumatic instrumentation, measurement systems, product testing and analysis, piping systems, valves, centrifugal, positive displacement pumps, positive displacement meters, turbine meters, and similar other equipment and systems. Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation.

COMPLIANCE. Performing and recording regulatory and Company policy preventative maintenance inspections and procedures as identified in the Maintenance and/or Regulatory Manuals and in JDE system. Responsible for completing and maintaining required documentation and records for all work performed, per regulatory requirements and with Buckeye s safety and operational standards and procedures.

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION. Maintaining a high level of knowledge relating to new and current technology and equipment.
*

MANAGEMENT. Procuring and managing the efforts of outside contractors as required.
*

POLICY IMPLEMENTATION. Implementing company policies, standards, drawings, diagrams and construction specifications for the installation of new facilities and the repair or upgrade of existing facilities.
*

PRODUCT TRAINING. Training Operations personnel and others in the use of new or modified equipment or software.
*

DOCUMENTATION. Maintaining equipment records and furnishing documentation per Company policy of work performed.
*

And other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

*

Two-year associate s degree in a technical field (electrical, electronic, or mechanical) OR the equivalent combination of education/work experience is required.
*

Experience in terminal, refinery operations, industrial manufacturing and maintenance is required.
*

Experience installing or troubleshooting PLC s(B&R, Siemens, Allen Bradley) and truck/rail load rack presets (Accuload, Multiload) preferred
*

Experience in working with P&ID s and schematics
*

Experience in Measurement of Liquids or Gas is preferred
*

Experience as a Millwright is preferred

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

*

Valid driver s license

OTHER SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES:

*

Must have the ability to navigate basic computer systems (i.e. Windows).
*

Basic knowledge of SCADA applications, MS Office applications and JDE applications is a plus.
*

In order to be successful in this position, the individual must possess good communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
*

The individual must have good analytical skills and good technical aptitude.

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

*

The individual must meet medical criteria established by OSHA for emergency response.

* Perform work within the safety guidelines outlined within the Buckeye organization.

The individual must be capable of performing the physical labor required to complete the responsibilities of this position (including capability to use related tools and work equipment).
