Job Summary


Prepares and operates radiographic equipment to perform routine, mammography and bone density examinations. Responsible for data entry in the Mammography Reporting System and ensures quality control tasks are completed accurately.





Qualifications


Completion from a JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology program resulting in certification and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-R).
Advanced certification in Mammography (R.T.-M) with 1-2 years of experience preferred.
Advanced certification in Bone Densitometry (R.T.-BD) as defined by the ARRT s Three-Attempt, Three-Year limit requirement; however, as an employee of Premier Imaging, certification must be met with consecutive examination attempts (up to 3) just following satisfaction of clinical examination requirements and well in advance of the Three-Year time limit. In accordance with IDTF Performance Standards as written in 42 C.F.R section 410.33(g), until further notice, the ARRT is the only acceptable certifying board providing credentials in Bone Densitometry. Experience in an additional modality preferred.
CPR certified within 90 days of employment.
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices and exhibits a strong customer service skill set.
Knowledge of infection control and radiation safety.
