Responsible for development of key business relationships in both international and domestic military markets. Has primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion. Acts as liaison with government agencies (Defense) and offices. Works with company appointed sales representatives and International and domestic government defense agencies and offices responsible for the preparation and release of RFQ/Tenders for aerial targets, target services and associated equipment. Responsible for the management, performance and completion of International Contracts/programs.
* Directs, the management of all phases of a program from inception to completion.
* Coordinates proposal preparation.
* Oversees in the development of design contracts and test criteria.
* Establish and maintain contacts to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
* Directs the integration of a program management team which may include: purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, and administrative functional areas.
* Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports and other exhibits that may be required.
* Acts as liaison between company and customers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university; four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance if needed. Extensive travel is required.
SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must have a thorough understanding of the technical and operational requirements of aerial towed targets, glide targets and their operating systems, targets control systems and data links. Must also have a working knowledge of towreels and support equipment and, ideally, a basic knowledge and understanding of the aircraft used for target towing and target towing procedures.
Must be self-motivated, be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be capable of preparing and giving technical and marketing presentations on MDSI products to customers at senior levels in the military.
This role requires extensive international travel, often at short notice (travel experience a plus) and the candidate must have the ability to deal with a wide range of international customers, sometimes under difficult conditions.
