Position Summary:
The CT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the CT Imaging departments. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric. Ensures all examinations are read and dictated and reports sent out to physicians in a timely manner. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel. Must be capable of developing, interpreting and administering all policies, procedures and protocols of the department. Must maintain efficient and effective department operations while maintaining compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and practices. Must possess critical thinking skills and be capable of assuming complete departmental authority and responsibility in the absence of the Manager and/or Director. The CT Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of CT exams in accordance with standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures. The Manager demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques.


Required: 3 - 7 years: Three years experience as CT Tech in an acute care setting Preferred: Five years experience as CT Tech, with supervisory experience

Required: Associate s Degree-Major: Accredited program in Radiologic Technology

Licenses/Certifications: Required: Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB); Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)/Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R), Registered C T Technologist, CT(R); BLS Certification

Associate's Degree/College Diploma
