Job Description

The Manager of College Relations will plan, execute and deliver talent acquisitions in support of Internships and College Recruitment. You will proactively manage a team of Recruitment Specialists and oversee all college and recruitment strategy implementation across Verizon's footprint. Manager will develop key relationships within the college and university sectors and support hiring managers across various business concentrations and effectively meet business needs in a timely manner based on business growth. The emphasis will be to lead efforts in college recruitment aspects of the talent staffing operations, and support the competitive advantage related to the business. This position reports to the Director of Talent Management. Essential Functions:

Develop, lead and manage the recruitingteam in achieving maximum results.
You will coach, develop and mentor recruitmentteams to ensure recruitment optimization.
Manager will be leveragingtransformational talent for various business concentrations and possessthe ability to source industry experts currently employed to ensure thecultivation for a best in class recruitment and sourcing team.
Develop strategy, present to andinfluence internal clients how to execute a process to best meet hiringneeds, provide updates, ensure appropriate staffing, adjust strategy tomeet changing business priorities.
Build Strong Partnerships with HR leadsfor each business segment to enable successful execution of key HRinitiatives.
Provide leadership and clear directionto recruiters and sourcing specialists.
Partner with the business, HR and clientgroups to meet recruiting needs in a cost effective manner.
Build strong relationships withcorporate staffing and regional peer groups, and continually providingcontext and building understanding with our line partners regardingoverall staffing direction.
Position requires strong relationshipswith community partners that support our staffing strategy and drive ourdiversity initiatives.
Position also requires strong focus oncompliance with company and government requirements along with consistentuse of metrics that support our ability to understand our currentperformance and identify priorities and leading indicators.
Keen knowledge of competitive collegemarkets as well as industry specific related data to facilitate in directsourcing efforts.
Engaging on a day-to-day basis with allrelevant staffing matters as well as monitoring the cost effectiveness ofexisting staffing plans and making well thought-out, fact-basedrecommendations on required revisions to meet strategic recruitingobjectives.
Assessing and leveraging recruitingtechnology to ensure that the sourcing strategies for the businesses arewell poised for the company's growth.
Through personal leadership skills,ensure the company of a highly motivated and efficient staffing team.

Required Skills and Experience:

Must have a proven track record ofsuccess in the college markets, networking and identifying keyrelationships to proactively engage recruitment.
Must have a min of 5 years ofexperience in talent acquisitions with at least 5 in a supervisorycapacity.
Proficiency in all aspects of full lifecycle recruiting, deep sourcing and meeting deadlines.
College degree or equivalent work exp-(First consideration will be given to those candidates that hold acollege degree)
Expertise in identifying onlineprofessional networking groups and sourcing via social media tools.
Must be able to develop and set strategyand able to drive, manage and measure output on the tactical side.
Supervisory experience must includedirect management of a recruitment team with a complete scope of end toend accountability, process, and clear results.
Strong analytical and reporting skillsand presentation skills.
