Hilton is currently recruiting and hiring for a Manager, Corporate Accounting. Depending on time of this hire, the successful candidate may be employed by a Hilton entity on an interim basis, but Hilton anticipates that, at some point this year, this position will become a part of Park Hotels & Resorts Inc. (or one of its subsidiaries), an entity that will be spun off from Hilton as an independent, public company real estate investment trust. Summary of role: The Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for establishing and managing the corporate accounting function supporting the company's accounting and reporting needs. This includes accounting for corporate and other business activities, managing critical outsourced relationships and consolidation of financial results. Corporate accounting activities include, but are not limited to compensation and benefits, accounts payable, laundry businesses and general ledger. What will I be doing? The Manager is responsible for monitoring status and completion of all tasks, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and reporting to accounting leadership and other internal and external parties. The Manager will developing all team members to perform at their highest level of potential is also a critical responsibility of the Manager. Prior experience in compensation and benefits accounting, including share-based compensation, and/or managing an outsourced accounts payable or payroll functions is preferred. Other key priorities are listed below: * Corporate accounting activities include, but are not limited to compensation and benefits, accounts payable, laundry businesses and general ledger * Establish procedures and processes in relation to all aspects of corporate accounting and executes on strategies and directions * Manage the cross-functional links between corporate accounting and other departments (Legal, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, HR) * Manage the implementation and maintenance of accounting internal control policies and procedures to ensure the internal control environment is maintained for all aspects of corporate accounting and provides supporting documentation to internal and external auditors regarding completion of control procedures * Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide requested documentation supporting accounting transactions * Disseminate, organize and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders/constituents from other departments * Implement and manage team goals to ensure strategies and directives of department are carried out and in accordance with department and company objectives * Mentor and develop all team members Hilton World Wide Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
