Job Description

I. Position Summary:

Primarily manages the U.S. and foreign tax compliance, accounting, research and planning function for the in-flight entertainment business including, income, property, sales, use and telecommunications taxes. Additional responsibilities include research and planning for U.S. passenger taxes and corporate-wide compensation and benefits taxes. The Manager leads the day-to-day operations of these tax functions to meet the CompanyÁ’s related accounting and compliance obligations and to minimize liabilities.

II. Essential Functions:

* Reviews and assist with U.S. and foreign tax compliance
* Performs research to support tax compliance and planning
* Assists with preparation and review of the consolidated income tax provision
* Prepares and review tax accruals and budgets
* Reviews analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
* Coordinates tax compliance, research and planning with external advisors
* Maintains internal controls over tax functions, including 404 testing
* Coordinates and manage taxing authority and internal/external financial audits
* Hires, supervises, and develops staff
* Completes special requests and projects
* Recommends and implements process improvements
* Keeps informed of relevant tax developments
* Carries out responsibilities with minimal supervision
* 10%-20% travel may be required

Job Experience:

III. Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance
* Master's in Tax or CPA preferred
* Four (4) to six (6) years of corporate tax experience
* Telecommunications tax experience preferred
* International tax experience preferred
* Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test

IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (including spreadsheet expertise) and experience with ERP systems
* Adept use of tax compliance and research systems
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills
* Self-starter with a professional demeanor
* Proficient written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical and interpretive skills
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines, including filing and financial reporting due dates
* Capable of working independently and in a team environment
* Detail oriented, with ability to provide clear and concise summation

* Computer and other office equipment

Work Environment:
* Normal office environment
* Present for core business hours with the ability to work overtime, including occasional weekend days, as the need arises, especially to meet filing and quarterly financial reporting deadlines
