Manager, Data Input/Output - Technical Operations

The Data Input/Output (I/O) Manager in Worldwide Technical Operations is responsible for moving and tracking electronic content both within Paramount and to external parties. This positions will be required to move and track electronic content transfers using Aspera, Signiant, and other Network Applications.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Moving files and data within Paramount infrastructure
* Electronically transferring files and data to other delivery entities outside of the Paramount network
* Sending delivery notifications upon completion of delivery
* Managing data space across multiple SANs, NASs and platforms
* Updating management systems with delivery dates, log files, screen shots
Basic qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year experience in data I/O within a studio or major vendor
* Minimum of 1 year experience with UNIX, Linux, MAC and Windows operating systems
* Experience with digital delivery mechanisms (Aspera, Signiant, Smart jog, etc)

Desired skills:
* Knowledge of A/V codecs, aspect ratios, pixel aspect ratios, presentation frame size verses active picture
* Knowledge of shell scripting
* Detailed, organized, and process oriented
* Ability to multitask
* General Microsoft Office Suite
