Description
CIOX Health s Phoenix site operations focus on the retrieval of medical charts from various healthcare providers. The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the execution of all scheduled medical chart retrievals on a daily basis. This includes all medical chart retrievals that are performed remotely through EMR systems, as well charts that are retrieved Off-Site. The EMR Operations Manager is responsible for the chart retrieval operation through the operational lifecycle from the time the chart retrieval is scheduled, to the time the chart is delivered to the requesting client. Therefore, this position requires not only a strong operational leadership and direction, but also equally strong strategic project management skill and insight. As such, the EMR Operations Manager is responsible for creating, improving, and optimizing efficiency and effectiveness the chart retrieval processes throughout the lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensure all scheduled EMR Remote and Off-Site retrievals are executed on a daily basis, allocating resources as necessary
Ensure all departmental deadlines and goals are met or exceeded; also provide input on the establishment of departmental goals
Identify and implement specific and effective strategies to improve overall EMR Remote productivity (measured by charts retrieved per hour)
Coordinate with the reporting team to define, revise, and execute all EMR department metrics
Collaborate with Director to document all EMR department processes
Serve as an effective liaison between the Intake department and Client Account Managers on issues regarding specific EMR Remote retrievals; ensure that the issues are resolved and, if applicable, improve retrieval processes to ensure sustainable solutions
Effectively forecast staffing needs, and ensure that the necessary staffing is in place to meet all necessary EMR Remote retrieval plans
Identify opportunities for productivity improvement; create and execute effective strategies to increase overall percentage of charts being retrieved via the EMR Remote method
Collaborate with Field Operations and QA departments to develop strategies and capture and share best practices for retrieval processes in all types of primarily used EMR systems
Optimize processes surrounding EMR System Retrieval documentation, retention and training
Create and implement effective EMR process integration strategy to align the EMR Processing and the Chartfinder syste

Requirements
5+ years of Operational Management experience with increasing levels of responsibility preferred
3-5+ years of experience in operational setting dealing with EMR systems preferred
Extensive working knowledge of multiple EMR systems; must be able to demonstrate experience using EMR system
Strong critical and strategic thinking skills required
Strong collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment required
Strong understanding of HIPAA and other PHI-related regulation is highly preferred
Bachelor s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Operations Management or equivalent is a minimum requirement
Project Management experience preferred
