JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Education, the Education Manager oversees educators and serves as the clinical advisor in the education department. Uses clinical process analysis to effectively develop coordinate, review and evaluate education programs, curriculum, and competencies for individual and/or group needs; provides guidance in establishing evidence based teaching strategies and content delivery models. Presents lectures to groups or individuals utilizing a variety of teaching methodologies. Works collaboratively with leaders to properly identify gaps and objectives to meet the needs of the department and/or organization, and translates education strategic priorities into operational reality. Ensures collection and interpretation for quality improvement activities. Must have in depth knowledge of federal, state, and other regulatory organizations rules and regulations in order to monitor compliance and collaborate with other key leaders in preparation for regulatory evaluations. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, physicians, patients and other departments. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior. Position requires a Master s Degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or a related area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manages stress appropriately and can make decisions under pressure, handle multiple priorities, work in areas that are confined or crowded. Light-medium work with periods of standing, lifting (50 lbs.), stooping, bending, walking, talking, answering telephones, using computer, push/pulling with force and reaching above head and shoulders. Must be able to distinguish colors, hear alarms and blood pressures. Good manual dexterity and clarity of vision. Attendance is essential to this role.

EDUCATION: Master s Degree in Nursing is required; CNL preferred; a current and clear Florida Registered Nurse license is required.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of Nursing experience is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field or a related area. Two (2) years of leadership experience is preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Good organizational, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and communication skills in a detail-oriented, customer- focused organization are required. Basic computer skills are required with data analysis background and knowledge.
