RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Oversees VNSNY CHOICE regulatory reporting requirements needed to make operational, managerial, and QI process decisions. Monitors, analyzes and communicates regulatory metrics against benchmarks where applicable. Evaluates changes in regulatory requirements and modifies reporting processes as necessary. Words under moderate supervision.
Coordinates, prepares, and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting for VNSNY CHOICE products, including, but is not limited to, MLTC Encounter Data, Medicare Encounter Data. annual/quarterly Medicaid Managed Long Term Care Operating Reports (MLTC - MMCOR), and Medicaid Advantage Plus Operating Reports (MAP) sent to NYS Department of Health and NYS Department of Insurance.
EDUCATION: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Healthcare Informatics, Health Administration or other required. Master s degree in same preferred. Certification in SAS Base 9 Programming preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years of increasingly responsible data analysis experience in a healthcare setting required, including a minimum of three years experience working with NYSDOH and CMS. Knowledge of Medicare Advantage/MLTC/HIVSNP regulatory reporting required. Advanced proficiency in personal computer programs, including SAS, (statistical analysis and outputs) MS Excel (including formulas, sorts, filters, pivot tables, IF statements, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, etc.), Access (criteria statements, table links, and database and report creation), and Word, required. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
