Hilton is currently recruiting and hiring for a Manager, Financial Reporting. Depending on time of this hire, the successful candidate may be employed by a Hilton entity on an interim basis, but Hilton anticipates that, at some point this year, this position will become a part of Park Hotels & Resorts Inc. (or one of its subsidiaries), an entity that will be spun off from Hilton as an independent, public company real estate investment trust. Summary of role: The Manger, Financial Reporting is responsible for preparing and reviewing the Company's consolidated and subsidiary financial statements and other regulatory reporting requirements, researching and documenting technical accounting analyses of complex transactions, developing accounting policies and trainings and monitoring and implementing new accounting standards. The Manager also is responsible for the key internal and external relationships important to the Company's financial reporting process. What will I be doing? The Manager is responsible for monitoring status and completion of all tasks, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and reporting to accounting leadership and other internal and external parties. The Team Member will develop all financial reporting team members to perform at their highest level of potential is also a critical responsibility of the Manager. Other key priorities are listed below: * Prepare and review the consolidated financial statements and other information included in quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and the SEC, as applicable * Prepare and review subsidiary and other financial statements submitted externally to regulators, lenders and other parties for various reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and other regulations, as applicable * Manage external vendors used for financial reporting software, subsidiary financial statement audit firms, valuation specialists and others as needed based upon the reporting needs of the Company * Manage the production of the Company's quarterly earnings press release and directs the accounting function input to and review of the earnings call script, Q&A documents and investor presentations, partnering with Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operations Finance, and Business Analytics teams * Develop and review global accounting policies with input from accounting, finance and other operational teams Manage the maintenance and update of accounting internal control policies and procedures and provides supporting documentation to internal audit regarding completion of control procedures * Develop and share knowledge of the requirements of new accounting & auditing standards and the accounting and disclosure requirements of transactions, considering the relevant accounting literature and the effect of the transaction on the company's financial statements and accounting policies * Perform and review analysis of transactions considering the relevant accounting literature and assess the effect on the Company's results, financial position and financial statement disclosure * Research and report to executive management the disclosure requirements of new accounting standards and transactions * Coordinate with external auditors to provide requested documentation regarding financial statements and accounting treatment for specific transactions * Disseminate, organize and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders/constituents from other departments * Implement and manage team goals to ensure strategies and directives of department are carried out and in accordance with department and company objectives. * Mentors and develops all team members Hilton World Wide Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
