Job Summary The Manager GPP Commercial Development will work with Guest Products & Partnerships team on high value global and regional initiatives, providing strategic advice regularly to the Senior Leadership Team and other senior management throughout the organization\. Responsible for managing projects and evaluations relating to new and current GPP products using a wide range of analytical and brand frameworks, as well as providing analytical support, project planning and strategic advice to leaders of major initiatives\. The manager will be fully accountable of major work streams throughout the year, with gradually increasing complexity\. This ideal candidate for this role will have to ensure to deliver on time and at the best quality\. The ideal candidate will be able to adjust the coursed of the orkstream when project sponsors feel new facts/issues merit the change, and will be as proactive as possible in initiating the change when needed\. Specific examples of projects would include:
identifying and evaluating potential partners to support broader IHG Brand team agendas, identification and evaluaton of strategic partners for IHG rewards Club and ongoing management of the GPP's new product pipeling \- key for the groups ongoing growth\. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Participate in and manage key initiatives with the rest of theGuest Products & Partnershipsteam\. As needed, support senior management teams and other GSM stakeholders on critical initiatives\. Specific duties and responsibilities include conducting analyses relating to strategic business issues, using analytical frameworks and financial modeling skills\. + Provide support for a variety of multiple product marketing projects across all aspects of theGuest Products & Partnershipsportfolio\. + Assist on multiple work streams within complex projects all the way from project structuring to implementation planning effectively navigating a complex multi\-region, multi\-function matrix organization\. + Provide analytical support and insight to the broaderGuest Products & Partnershipsteam on variety of key projects\. Leverage holistic knowledge of business to contribute strategic insight on a number of business issues\. + Assist in the ongoing GPP Pipeline Management process, producing key analysis, synthesizing results, working with product heads and documenting key components\. + Provide solutions for internal and external teams through unlocking big problems via analytics and insights generation\. Consult with senior management to share key findings and hypotheses\. + Give regular progress updates to Director/VP and sponsor/senior management, as well as discuss issues with them and find impactful ways to use their time\. + Manage relationships with research vendors and help team to source necessary data or reports\. + Participate in skill development training and courses to improve your industry/IHG knowledge as well as your technical competencies\. * Qualifications
* Education Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Economics or Business related degree Experience 3\-4 years of work experience in corporate or brand strategy or consultancy role with exposure to a broad range of business issues\. Post degree qualifications, previous travel industry experience and language skills highly desirable\. Technical skills and Knowledge + Own up to 3 full project work streams and responsible for delivering on time matching Director s expectations\. + Decision making responsibilities to include decision making associated with project scoping and project management responsibilities for global or regional strategic initiatives and decision making needed to recommend strategic action as a result of any global or regional initiatives conducted\. + Demonstrated ability to assess and understand a variety of internal and external economic and financial issues with impact to the business, to analyze data and forecast future business trends, and to develop strategic plans based on business needs and assessments\. + Strong understanding of brand marketing concepts, with both theoretical and practical knowledge\. Ability to assess and evaluate different marketing approaches based on their impact to market share and revenue gains\. + Demonstrated people management skills and desire to train junior staff members\. + Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to analyze markets, performance data, and business issues and draw insight/conclusions\. + Strong interpersonal skills required to build relationships across business units for collaboration, data requests, and joint analysis\. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to address all levels within the organization to develop consensus\. + Must have good facilitation skills to lead executive planning sessions\. + Financial modeling/analysis and basic finance principles\. + Strong self\-motivation and ability to plan time/priorities\. + Ability to understand of hotel industry dynamics\. + Familiarity of external data sources and ability to use them effectively to reach key conclusions\. + Strong project management skills\. + Flexible in terms of workload and hours\. + Able to gain credibility with executives and senior managers in the organization\.
