Company Profile: Leading Supply Chain leader in the development and integration of logistic systems and solutions Job Description: Manager Health and Safety Logistics - Chicago Our client, a leader in the development and integration of logistic systems and solutions is seeking a Health and Safety Manager. You will be responsible for partnering with a site operations team to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. The Health and Safety Manager must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. The Health and Safety Manager must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. This individual must instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating my clients safety standards at each site that is required. You will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into their standards to continuously improve company safety policies. Job Requirements: In order to qualify for this role ideally you will have: 3 years of increasing responsibilities in safety and heath in manufacturing or warehousing, production, or service operations. Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational/warehousing environment. Experience managing multiple locations across the country. Bachelor s degree in safety and or engineering or supply chain. Must be flexible regarding shifts and hours as most warehousing operations run 24/7. Preferred Qualifications Supply Chain Logisitcs/Distribution Center or Manufacturing Safety experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees Master s degree an asset Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization Certified Safety Professional preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders. Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
