Hilton is currently recruiting and hiring for a Manager, Hotel Ownership Accounting. Depending on time of this hire, the successful candidate may be employed by a Hilton entity on an interim basis, but Hilton anticipates that, at some point this year, this position will become a part of Park Hotels & Resorts Inc. (or one of its subsidiaries), an entity that will be spun off from Hilton as an independent, public company real estate investment trust. Summary of role: The Manager, Hotel Accounting is responsible managing the accounting function for the company's hotel portfolio, focusing on the ownership elements such as accounting for fixed assets, debt, cash and joint venture accounting. This will involve managing the interaction with the operational accounting team, including the hotel finance teams and ensuring the accounting is completed in accordance with accounting pronouncements and legal agreements for these hotels. What will I be doing? The Manager is responsible for monitoring status and completion of all tasks, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and reporting to accounting leadership and other internal and external parties. The Manager will develop all team members to perform at their highest level of potential is also a critical responsibility of the Manager. Other key priorities are listed below: * Establish procedures and processes in relation to all aspects of hotel accounting and manages the execution of strategy and direction for hotel ownership accounting * Manage the cross-functional links between hotel accounting and other departments (Legal, Tax, Asset Management) * Manage the relationships with the operational accounting team, including the hotel finance team, with a focus on the ownership elements of accounting such as working capital, intercompany leases and fixed assets * Manage accounting activities for the company's consolidated and unconsolidated joint ventures * Manage the implementation and maintenance of accounting internal control policies and procedures to ensure the internal control environment is maintained for all aspects of hotel accounting and provides supporting documentation to internal and external auditors regarding completion of control procedures * Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide requested documentation supporting accounting transactions * Disseminate, organize and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders/constituents from other departments * Implement and manage team goals to ensure strategies and directives of department are carried out and in accordance with department and company objectives * Mentor and develop all team members Hilton World Wide Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
