The Manager of Internal Audit will lead simultaneous project reviews of financial, operational, and compliance risks and controls across various business units and hotels, from planning to final report issuance. The Team Member will be part of a team primarily responsible for performing all risk-based audit activities across Hilton Worldwide's Americas operations, but may also be asked to perform audits across Hilton's EMEA and APAC regions. What will I be doing? The Manager of Internal Audit will have individual project assignments that will be performed under the direction of the Vice President and Senior Director of Internal Audit, with specific project oversight provided by the Senior Manager of Internal Audit. Exemplary leadership and communication abilities, attention to detail, and strong business acumen are keys to success in this challenging position. Other key priorities are listed below: * Efficient end-to-end execution of assigned projects included on the department's risk-based audit plan * Plan enterprise-wide Internal Audit projects to ensure proper coverage, scope, staffing, and efficient and effective execution * Conduct independent and objective assessments of internal controls, financial results, corporate processes, hotel operations, compliance requirements, etc. * Manage the delivery of timely audit results and high-quality deliverables * Partner with management to develop corrective action plans in response to all Internal Audit observations * Obtain status updates on corrective management action plans * Participate in regional efforts to capture, track, and monitor remediation activities and process improvement initiatives * Participate in the company's internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts (as needed) * Supervise Audit Team Members, including Internal Audit, guest auditors, and Hilton Worldwide's co-source service providers * Review staff performance and assist with professional development * Mentor and develop senior and staff audit Team Members capable of being placed into business operations * Help refine departmental methodologies and deliverables in accordance with professional standards * Regularly interact with process owners and senior management * Responsible for various ad-hoc projects for the Vice President of Internal Audit and/or senior management * Responsible for internal audits of Hotel, Corporate, Central Accounting, Shared Services, and other business areas (as needed) * Partner with co-sourced Internal Audit resources on various audit projects * Educate and advise hotel staff and management on GAAP and proper internal control requirements * Build solid working relationships and partner closely with regional leadership and hotel management * Ability to work independently and in a team environment with superior interpersonal and collaboration skills * Strong work ethic with self-accountability for high-quality results * Willingness to openly challenge the status quo and drive positive process, control and technology improvements * Positive attitude and perseverance in the face of challenges and/or changing circumstances * Innate leadership and staff development skills with an emphasis on optimizing individual and team productivity and contributions * High-energy self-starter capable of completing a diverse workload within strict timelines * Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information Hilton World Wide Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
