Essential Functions
Effectively manages and performs all phases (planning, fieldwork and reporting phases) of high difficulty audits including performing internal control testing and other detail test work as required for diverse operational/business lines and specialty areas.
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Has in-depth understanding of context and implications of types of risk.
Ability to understand and adjust to changes in a high risk environment.
Compiles relevant, material findings and recommendations into readable and concise audit report.
Provides major input to audit engagement planning, fieldwork, identification, development, and documentation of issues and recommendations.
Works with internal clients and others without compromising audit independence and objectivity.
Effectively applies Generally Accepted Auditing Standards as well as the Institute of Internal Auditors auditing standards.
Establishes good relations with entity personnel, management and external parties represents internal audit on enterprise-wide project teams, in management meetings.
Provides input to the annual audit plan.
Assists Management with the implementation of corrective action plans without impairing independence.
