ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS

Hires, trains, evaluate, and reviews personnel.
Ensures all regulatory requirements are met in the Labeling Operations team.
Recommends development of practices and policies in Labeling Operations. Prepares and recommends to management cost reduction opportunities as related to materials, labor or overhead.
Communicates organizational objectives to managers and team leaders and interprets company policies.
Responsible for driving continuous improvement in all operation processes.
Oversees the completion of all technical and operational activities for Labeling Operations projects through management of internal and external resources.
Responsible for planning, implementing, and initiating activities on multiple projects related to Labeling Operations.
Manages budget for packaging/labeling and related projects.
Manages any external vendor relationships and may participate in vendor audits with Quality Assurance.
Directs activities within the Labeling Operations group to meet company goals including packaging, labeling, production schedules, budgeting, training, and performance reviews
Works with Quality Assurance to resolve quality related issues with Labeling Operations.
Examines functional issues from a broader organization perspective. Determines the functions most critical to company success and supports priorities within functional area. Can lead two or more specific components of departmental strategic initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards.
Strong computer, organizational, and management skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to lead and manage a team
8+ years of relevant experience and a BS or BA.
7+ years of relevant experience and a MS.
Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
